HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw is a wonderful printer. You need to replace a color printer as it was going through ink like crazy. This multifunction printer is a black and white one and works great functions, such as Clear copies, Scanner works wonderfully, and printing works great as well. And it takes up very little space, you have it sitting on a 2 drawer file cabinet.
The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw offers lots of features, speed for the money, and a high image level. But the control-panel operation is a little awkward, and the Wi-Fi configuration is an outwork.
There is no dedicated Scan to Computer button on the control panel. You need to use the HP Smart software to implement that function. Likewise, just use the included software to configure the scan-to-email function.

Overall, print speeds were above average. The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw printed our 5-page text document in 15.7 pages per minute (ppm) or 19 seconds. The category average is a little slower, at 14.5 pages per minute (ppm) or 20.7 seconds. The duplexer didn't slow down the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw much, the all-in-one churned out two-sided prints at 12.6 pages per minute (ppm).
